The essential oils that can be used for anxiety are Bergamot, Orange, Geranium, Patchouli, Jasmine, Juniper, Rosewood and Ylang Ylang. However, the oils, which are excellent for curing this condition are Bergamot and Orange.
How to use ?
Bergamot is very sweet smelling oil and is mainly used in perfumes and colognes. This oil can be used in lot of ways like- drop some drops of oil in handkerchief and inhale or in a warm water and inhale or diffuse it in air with the help of diffusers. Massaging with this oil also gives relief. Whereas Orange oil is used as a bath oil and also used in massages, actually acts as a tranquilizer and is very revitalizing.
Caution – Bergamot if used in concentrated form of more then one per cent can irritate the skin.
