Method of Extraction
Tea tree oil is extracted from the leaves and twigs by steam distillation.

The steam which is passed through generates heat and that allows the tiny intercellular pockets to release essential oil, which is stored in these pockets. This oil is strong in nature and spicy too; so do keep it away from eyes and children. Whenever using this oil, keep a thing in mind to mix it with any base oil, so to make it dilute and less potent. It may cause irritation or nausea if not taken care of its proper usage. It may also cause sensitization in some people.

Do not take this oil internally, or if using it as mouthwashes do not swallow. However, if applying this oil to areas such as mouth, genitals or near the eyes, use it diluted. Do not use if pregnant and whenever applying to a baby dilute it.
