Method of Extraction
There are two extraction methods by which rose essential oil can be extracted. Solvent Extracted or Steam Distilled both of which are used for delicate plants, best quality and low cost.

Solvent extraction method is used on fragile plants, which yields a higher amount of essential oil at a lower cost. To use this process, we need to saturate the plant material with some chemical solvent such as hexane, and the result is an aromatic compound. This further result in a formation of mass or a substance called concrete. This substance is then dissolved in alcohol to remove the solvent. And we get essential oil when alcohol evaporates.

Precautions
The essential oil of rose is non-toxic, non-sensitizing and non-irritant oil. However, this should not be used during pregnancy. Apart from that, it is a safest essential oil and need very less care while using.
